Funny Commercials II

If you want a laugh after a tiring Christmas, here’s some good ones. I particularly like the car, the John West and the final swimming trunks adverts.

  1. Grizzly bear fight was great. Beats the hell out of what’s on over here usually.

It’s difficult to watch commercials in America for the most part due to the 'politically correct' attitude that prevails here. Takes all the creativity out of the ad industry.

Case in point: The commercial for the Sportka. There is another ad they made that has the car sniping off the head of curious feline that ventures to enter through the sunroof. So this ad hits American TVs and is off almost as fast because it shows animal cruelty.

Not to say that commercials need to be violent or obscene to be good, but a little creative freedom is nice.

  2. Maynard1977, the clips were lifted from YouTube after putting in a search for 'banned funny commercials'. I don't think I've seen any of them on British TV since the 'great and the good' are just as prudish and dictatorial over here, though maybe for different reasons. Actually, when you look on YouTube, it's surprising just how much has (supposedly) been banned. Budweiser seems to lead in that respect.
