  1. Congratulations neal.

Btw, any intention on starting a new "franchise" following the Cormac series? I know it's harder to compose a world where you have to take care of characters, events and planets book by book, but it would be really nice if we can look forward to the hero's next adventure (or the villian's next mayhem, hehe).

  2. You're back – great! Hope all is well.

Quick question though – what happened with Shadow of the Scorpion – looking forward to it June and then…

  3. its good to be a hard man than a limp one (tell your loved one). fey asher won't work. the name asher implies 'someone who churns ash with human hair' or a suggestion thereof. neil is close to nail. the cards are stacked against ya bub.

my question is, if you were in a room with a delicious falafel and a rat, which would you snatch up and put in your mouth first. if i've read your books correctly, the answer is very obvious.

    welcome back strange.r.

  4. So…does this mean you're back then?

Or is this just a fly-by prompted by being called a "hard man" by the newspaper equivalent of Walter the Softy.

  5. Hi, I've enjoyed Prador Moon and 'The Skinner', by 'Hard Man of SF' I assume he means visceral and violent like some parts of Iain M Banks sci fi or Peter F Hamilton's

  6. Well deserved title as well!

Just finished reading Prador moon myself. Can't wait to see what Cormac has to say about these Prador guys…

  7. And a rather spiffing profile in SFX too – the photograph adds to the whole "hard man" image: I reckon you'll be giving Ross Kemp a run for his money, Neal. 🙂

    How was Crete?

  8. Hi, my name is Rupert. I am working on a new Sci-fi project called Kirill, in conjunction with Microsoft MSN and Digital Studios (a little digital studio part of Endemol UK). We would really like your opinion and feedback on the project so far.

Why you? Because I have trawled the internet looking for people who we would want to be ‘the audience’ of Kirill, and we think you may well be one of those people
Here is the link to the video introducing the whole concept and explaining a little more: http://www.kirilluncovered.com/?p=16

Please email me back and I’ll send you more info.

    Kind Regards,
    Rupert

  9. just got gridlinked and line of polity after finishing the skinner (i know, i'm useless at reading in the right order!!)

thanks for persevering with the writing career – so worth it!!!!

also given me a bit of inspiration to knuckle down to my own SF story!

    many thanks
    ian

  10. Hope you are well.

We tried to get into contact with you the other day but I’m not sure if you received it. It mentions a new Sci-Fi drama called Kirill and I was hoping you would like to be involved.

Would you be interested in mentioning something on your blog or even hosting the short episodes? We really just want to get it in front of the right audience and see what they think and gauge their opinion.
I have the teaser trailer, episode 1 & 2, info on the story & characters and behind the scenes content.

All the embed codes are on the Kirill hub below, so the video’s are easy for you to upload.
